Bishop Curtis Guillory has spent much of the days since Tropical Storm Imelda visiting areas ravaged by the storm and offering words of hope to those who have been affected. Many of those thoughts were brought together in his homily Sunday at a special Mass at St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica.

Hope – that’s been Bishop Guillory’s message since Imelda’s flood waters swept through Southeast Texas. And, that message echoed loudly at a special Mass Sept. 22 at St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica for those affected by the storm.
Classes will resume Monday, Sept. 23 at the four elementary schools in the Diocese of Beaumont. However, Msgr. Kelly High School will not reopen tomorrow. School Superintendent Marcia Stevens says the earliest classes would resume at Kelly is Wednesday.
