The first day of spring brought sunshine and cool weather on Palm Sunday. Sacred Heart Church in Port Arthur began Mass with a blessing of the palms and a procession through the neighborhood. Missionary of St. Paul Father Sampson Etim, pastor of Sacred Heart-St. Mary Church, described in his homily that Palm Sunday initiates the Holy Week which leads to the celebration of the Risen Lord on Easter.
