Southeast Texans praying for Orlando

Bishop Curtis Guillory, S.V.D., is asking Southeast Texas Catholics and people of all faiths to join him in praying for the victims and those affected by Sunday’s shooting in Orlando.

Bishop Guillory will celebrate the 12:10 p.m. Mass Monday, June 13, at St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica in Downtown Beaumont.

“I am hoping this Mass will give all in Southeast Texas an opportunity to come together as community to pray for the victims, their families, the responders and all the people of Florida,” said Bishop Guillory.

“In this time of sadness, I know God will sustain each of us and our nation and give us the grace to respond to this violence with wisdom. Our hearts go out to all those who are hurting because of this horrific violence. We stand in solidarity with all people who act in peace.”
