“I was very happy that Pope Francis was able to stand before the world community at the U.N. and speak about the importance of coming together as a global family to protect the weakest among us, to work for justice and work for equality as well as underscoring the necessity of taking care of our Mother Earth,” Jerome Cabeen, director of Family Life Ministry, said. “His vision goes beyond religion and faith. He spoke directly to each person regardless of where they stand on their views of God and called them to make a positive change in the world and establish true peace. Certainly his message has stayed the same during his papacy. I believe because he has been constant in his message it has started to make a larger impact on the world stage.”
