Father Luong Tran has died

November 22, 2021It is with sadness that we tell you that Father Luong Tran died this morning at St. Elizabeth Hospital at the age of 63. He was pastor of Our Lady of Sorrows in China and judicial vicar of the Tribunal for the Diocese. We will announce the arrangements when they are completed.
Our diocesan family is united in prayer with his family, the Vietnamese community, the parishioners of Our Lady of Sorrows, and the whole presbyterate who are grieving his loss.
A native of Vietnam, Father Luong was ordained December 16, 1989, by Bishop Bernard J. Ganter. He served at several of our parishes and in the Office of the Tribunal for many years.
Please pray for the repose of his soul and for the consolation of his family and friends.
May he rest in the peace of Christ, the Risen Lord.
