Continued repairs from the lightning strike at St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica

Construction continues at St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica to repair the damages from the lightning strike May 22. Damages are being further assessed and measurements are being taken to replace the cross over the south bell tower that exploded after being struck by lightning.

Roofers are also removing the broken pieces of shingles that were shattered by the lightning to later replace those as well.

Construction is expected continue throughout the next few weeks. Please refrain from crossing into the roped-off areas as debris may fall from the roof during construction.
