Full-time Director – Development & Communications – Catholic Charities of Southeast Texas

Catholic Charities of Southeast Texas is seeking candidates for the position of Director of Development and Communications. Interested party must have a proven ability to work with and gain the respect of a broad constituency, including leaders in parishes, industry, and within the service territory. The Director of Development and Communications will be responsible for organizational fundraising, communications strategy, and public image. Other responsibilities include grant writing and reporting, special events coordination, and the production of external printed materials, newsletters, and cultivation of media contacts. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field. Four to eight years’ experience demonstrating competency in non-profit management, community organizing, and financial and/or administrative management with social service programs is required.

Catholic Charities of Southeast Texas anticipates hiring employees to work with 2017 Harvey long term recovery efforts. The positions will last approximately 18 months and will be based out of Jefferson, Orange, Polk, and Tyler counties. Residents from each of these counties are strongly encouraged to apply.
