St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica celebrates St. Joseph’s Day

“It’s important to remember the good of almighty God and not take it for granted,” Bishop Guillory, SVD, said about being grateful after blessing the food of the St. Joseph’s Altar at St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica’s St. Joseph’s Day Lunch March 19 at the Cathedral Center.

Through the sale of spaghetti plates and baked goods the celebration raises money to help feed those in need through local charities.

The day began with Mass at the Cathedral Basilica, followed by a procession to the Cathedral Center for the altar blessing. Joe Tortorice Jr., Shelley Tortorice and Jaxson Gradney represented St. Joseph, St. Mary and Jesus during the Tupa Tupa ceremony.
