“Just being in the presence of the Lord as we are tonight, we become one with him. Our understanding of the mystery of his presence becomes clear,” said Bishop Curtis Guillory, SVD, during the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament June 21 at the Youth Convention in Houston.
Bishop Guillory added that adoration is a time for youth and young adults to put aside the busy activities and the noise that surrounds them to encounter the presence and the love of God.
“This evening we come before the Blessed Sacrament,” Bishop Guillory said. “We come in prayer, in song. But we also come in silence.”
