Worship, workshops highlight second day at Unity Explosion

Mass and a morning prayer service opened the second day of  the Unity Explosion Conference June 8 in San Antonio. Various workshops during the morning session focused on leadership, liturgical dance, music and evangelization.

“Unity Explosion started in 1989 as way to address the liturgical and evangelization needs of African American Catholics,” said Linda Duhon-LaCour, director of African American Ministry at the Diocese of Beaumont and co-chair of Unity Explosion 2018. Music plays a key role in that process she said as well as keeping Catholics interested in the Church and getting people interested in joining it.
