Returning home after 14 years in Livingston

Father Clifton Labbé, S.V.D., celebrated his last Masses June 26 as pastor of St. Joseph, Livingston and St. Martin de Porres, Corrigan. Father Labbe is leaving the Diocese of Beaumont after 14 years and moving back to his hometown, Lafayette, La., to be the pastor at St. Anthony Parish.

A celebration was held at St. Joseph, Livingston where Father Labbé was given many gifts, hugs and a few farewell tears were shed.

“I’m going to miss them all,” said Father Labbé. “I’ve made a lot of great memories here.”
