Reaching out to Hispanic families

Families from all across the Diocese of Beaumont gathered at the annual Hispanic Family Conference March 19, hosted by the Hispanic Ministry.

Adults attended workshops at the Beaumont Civic Center while the kids enjoyed activities at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas, the Texas Energy Museum, the Jefferson Theatre, the Julie Rogers Theater, the Beaumont Public Library, the Tyrrell Historical Library and the Beaumont Police Department.

The keynote speaker for the event was Father Mauricio Carrasco, associate of the Hispanic Ministry for the Diocese of Little Rock, Arkansas.

The day concluded with Palm Sunday Vigil with concelebrants Father Carrasco, Msgr. Michael Jamail and Carmelite of Mary Immaculate Father George Kalappura.
