Harvey hit Southeast Texas with a punch that most won’t soon forget. Almost 4 feet of rain inundated our area. Our parishes have suffered damage with several having to cancel weekend and daily Masses and other pastoral activities. Our pastors were forced out of their rectories, one with only minutes notice to leave. Our neighbors and families have suffered, many leaving a home filling with water with an overnight bag or only the clothes on their backs.
