Pro-life hits the road
Every October Christians all throughout the country participate in an event called Life Chain. People voice their support for the pro-life movement by making signs and putting on a one-hour, road-side grassroots style campaign.
Pro-life is the belief that all life is sacred from the moment of conception until natural death.
Several cities in the Diocese of Beaumont will be participating in this year’s event though the date has been pushed back to Oct. 26 due to Hurricane Ike.
Each meeting place will be accepting $1 donations for each sign. All donations will go to Birthrights in Beaumont and Orange and the Hope Women’s Resource Clinic.
In Beaumont participants will meet in the parking lot of Calvary Baptist Church on Dowlen Road at 2:15 p.m.
