The Sacred Heart prayer group at St. Louis, Winnie, met June 1 in the church in order to pray for safety during this year’s hurricane season. The group, led by Mary Brown, prayed the rosary in addition to a prayer for safety in hurricane season.
“I believe that prayer is very powerful. We are all going to continue to pray for ourselves and for all of those that could be affected by hurricanes this season. I pray every day for it and will continue to do so,” Brown said.
